Creating a Better Way to Teach Discrimination in Health & Social Care

Discrimination is an important topic across Health & Social Care, appearing in areas such as caring, workplace practice, health and safety, equality, and professional conduct.

The challenge was that while there are plenty of individual resources available, there was no single video that clearly brought together the ten key areas of discrimination in one concise, easy-to-understand format.

That created a problem for classroom teaching.

A Health & Social Care lecturer approached The InfiniteGaming Group with a simple goal: create one video that could explain the subject clearly, visually and in a way that students could easily digest.

The Problem

The original intention was to create the video using AI tools.

However, with so many online AI platforms, generators and questionable websites now available, it can be difficult for someone without a technical background to know which tools are safe, trustworthy or appropriate.

An attempt to create the video independently ultimately resulted in unwanted software being installed on the lecturer's computer.

With experience across technology, artificial intelligence, digital media and content creation, IGG stepped in to handle the project properly from start to finish.

Building the Video

The objective was not simply to produce a slideshow or place narration over stock footage.

The video needed to feel structured, professional and suitable for use in an educational environment.

IGG handled the full production process, including:

• sourcing and collating relevant video footage
• recording and producing the narration
• editing the clips into a clear sequence
• designing and overlaying supporting graphics
• balancing the narration against the visuals
• adding a subtle background soundtrack to support the pacing without distracting from the educational content
• completing the final edit and preparing the video for distribution

Particular attention was paid to the flow of the video so that each section naturally progressed into the next without overwhelming the viewer.

The background audio was intentionally kept extremely subtle. It is present to give the production additional depth, but quiet enough that the narration and subject matter remain the focus.

The Final Result

The finished video was exported for YouTube at 1440p and 30 frames per second.

A higher frame rate was unnecessary for this type of content, allowing the video to maintain excellent visual quality while remaining appropriate for classroom playback, online learning platforms and general educational use.

The final result brought the key areas of discrimination together into a single resource that could be used as part of a lesson rather than requiring students or lecturers to jump between multiple unrelated videos.

Following completion, the video was shared with other teaching professionals, who expressed interest in the possibility of similar educational content being produced in the future.
